Spring Registration

Dates and Times for Spring Registration are the following:

Online registrations will be open early January.

All on-site registrations will be at the same place, Eagle Harbor Golf Club.


January 12th 10-Noon

January 19th 9-Noon

January 26th 9-Noon


We will offer the following leagues:

TBall ($45) Ages 5-6

Machine Pitch ($90) Ages 6-7-8

Minor Player Pitch ($90) Ages 9-10-11

Major Player Pitch ($90) Ages 10-11-12


A player's age is determined by players age on 4/30/2008

Tryouts will be conducted for Minor and Majors.
Players will remain on same team if staying in same league.

Other important Dates

Tryouts - Feb 2nd Paterson Elementary

10am - Minors

Noon - Majors


Practice Dates - Feb 9th - March 1st

Opening Day - March 8th

Season End May 24th


Practices will be twice a week during the practice weeks. 1 weekday practice and 1 Saturday practice. Weekday will start at appr 5:30 but dependent on Manager. Sat will be in the morning early afternoon.

Games will be twice a week and will be similar to practice times.

TBall and Machine Pitch will play at Fleming Island Elem. and Paterson. Minor and Major will play at Paterson Elem.

All Stars are available for 9 - 12 year olds. If you are interested in All Stars it starts June 15th and tournaments start 2 weeks after. All Star teams play other district teams.

We have plenty of volunteer opportunites such as Coaching, umpiring, concessions, etc. If interested please fill out a volunteer form when you register your players.

Little League is a boundary based league. If you live outside the boundary you may play but All Star play will not be available.

Shannon handed out many teams last Saturday. She is completing the remaining orders and they will be ready early next week.

Please have parents proof the baseball cards and email me with any problems. I am ready to start ordering the teams I have done but want to make sure they are correct. I will also be at the ball field Sat. to finish up if anyone needs a retake. Games Cancelled tonight - 10/29/2007

Monday 10/29/2007 games are cancelled.

We will look at doing some souble headers on the next few Saturdays to make these games up.

Fall Season Update

I hope you are enjoying the season so far. Here are a few items about what's happening around the league. No action is required for any item.

Pictures - Shannon has been making her way around to each team. If she has not been at your game she will be soon. She has been doing individual and team photos already for some teams.

Trophies - Managers and or Team Moms will order. Managers and Team Moms can contact me with any questions.

Attendance at games on some teams seems to be an issue. I know we are all busy but having a full team at games makes it better for all involved.

If your game was rained out this Saturday we will be rescheduling these games soon.

I am posting the schedule here for everyone. Remember to double check with Managers and other team members from time to time.

Fall 2007 is getting off to a wet start

This has been a long week with the rain and practice cancellations. It's bound to let up at some point.

Here is where things are at with FILL:

- Uniforms have been ordered

- Updated Practice Schedule have been passed out to Managers.

- We are working on a game schedule
- The rain will most likely push our game start date a few days

- Wednesday practices are necessary during practice weeks. We will not have games on Wednesday.

As soon as game schedules are available they will be sent to you via email. It will not be ready till the Sept 25th.

Player Evaluation CANCELLED - WE WILL NOT HAVE TRYOUTS AT ALL.

Player Evaluation \ Tryouts are cancelled.

We will go without this vast amount of hard earned data and try to spread the talent equally.

Every thing else remains as planned.

I will be there between 5:30 and 5:45 if you have anything to provide me or questions.

Fall Registration

Fall Registration will be available online on 8/20.

We will be doing registrations at Eagle Harbor Golf Club between 9-12 on 8/25, 9/1 and 9/8.

We are now offering leagues bewtween 5-15 year old boys and girls.

FI All Stars In Action July 4th

All are invited to come out and cheer for our team.

The game starts at 9am on July 4th. The game is at Saint Augustine Little League Fields found on this map.

All Star Candidates

All 11-12 year old candidates. players that have submitted the All Star Commitment Letter. Please be prepared to practice Friday at 5:30 and Saturday. Part of getting the team approved for the tournament we will need 3 original utility bills and a certified copy or original birth certicate. All will be returned to you on Wed.

Phone calls and emails will be sent to players on Friday morning making the team official.

Next Board Meeting will be held late July

Fall Registration

FILL Registrations go with the Clay County school schedule. So as the Fall and Spring school years start you should see flyers in your child's folder. the website will be updated with dates and times in August.

Picture Update

We should have the pictures going out in the next few days. We will have more formal procedures and timelines in the Fall to get these out quicker.

All Star Update

We will be fielding an 11-12 year old team and I am looking forward to seeing our best players on one team. We did not end up with enough interest for the younger teams.

If you filled out a letter and submitted it you are all set. We have no plans ot not select any player that has submitted a commitment letter for the 11-12 year old team.

Congratulations!! Braves and Orioles Win

Let's give a hand to 2 great teams this year. The Major league Braves had a tremendous year. The Braves, Coached by Heath Hughes and Stephen Nebrat, had an energetic team and were always a pleasure to play. Thanks for setting the standard of a complete team. Congratulations to the 2007 Spring Braves.


The Minor Oriole team had a trememdous year as well. Led by their strong pitching staff and defensive play they won the season and the playoffs. Congratulations to the Orioles, coached by Sean Brennan and Dave Blankenship. Check out Hunter's picture in this weeks Leader newspaper.

Spring 2007 Regualr Comes to Close

Thanks to all for another great season. As we grow the baseball keeps getting better and better. I was really impressed watching our Major league games and seeing some of the plays that were being made. Looking out a few years the kids in Minors and Machine Pitch will only make for even better baseball, and who can't love watching the cute kids in TBall.


IF you are 12 on 4/30/2007 you can play Fall. If this was your last season with FILL we wish you the best. Thanks for playing with FILL.

Championship Games are Still on

If any changes occur I will edit this article. The radar looks like we might get a drizzle at best.

Smoke - Has cleared with good wind to the South

Games remain on schedule tonight.

Conditions look like they will be fine at game time.

I can still smell some smoke but all visible smoke is gone.

The wind to the south continues to blow which will only improve the air quality.

Games may still be cancelled depending on changing conditions.

District 11 Golf Tourney

Anyone interested with supporting the District or just want an excuse to play golf for a good cause can play 6/23 at Deerfield. A foursome costs $240, hole sponsors are $100. Parking

Thanks again to those honoring the request of the Principal and League and not parking in the back of the school. We have made a major improvement, not perfect yet, but much better.

Coaches WITH EQUIPMENT and people with special needs can drive thru the gate. Dropping off players is discouraged since you are adding additional congestion.

All Stars Update

As we get close to the end we need to get organized with All Star team selection. Little League offers 11-12 league and 9-10 league. Right now, Steve Watts will be managing the older team. Thank you Steve! If you child is interested you will need to complete a All Star commitment letter and give it to Steve. I will have these online soon. These letters will be use for All Star communications so please get them in. As soon as I have a 9-10 Manager I will let you know.

We are in the Home Stretch

It's hard to believe but Spring 2007 is moving right along and we are getting close to the end.

I have several items to hand out to all the kids. Boards, the skate shop on College has given the league a free pass to all players. Scott Mullen is also working on having some free baseball cards for each player. A big thanks to them for their generousity.

A quick snapshot of opening day. We will have 1 Tball game and one Machine Pitch at 8:45 at Paterson. Ceremonies, Pictures, Hot Dogs and Games will be from 10-12 at Paterson. Games resume at Paterson at 12:15 and 2:15 at Paterson. 2 Machine Pitch games will be played at Fleming Island Elem at 12:45 and 2:45. More to come... Look for schedules tonight.

Practices have Started

I hope everyone is enjoying their first few practices.


Uniforms are ordered. Please ask your manager if you have any questions. Each team decides what they want to do with pants. The league does not provide pants, so it's up you each team to decide color. For instance, some teams are getting pinstripes thru Baseballexpress.com.

2007 Spring Registration, Late Registration and Tryouts

FILL Spring Registration was held at the Eagle Harbor Golf Club, we are having a successful registration so far.
Please read below for late registrations.

Tryouts for players in Minor and Major leagues. (TBall and Machine Pitch do not have tryouts!)

Who: Kids playing kid pitch Minors or Majors

Where: Paterson Elementary

Times: Ages 12 and 11 at 9am - All others at 10am

What to bring: Glove, bat, cleats


You can still register online till 2/2/2007. However, please do not wait till 2/2. We will be assigning teams before then and signing up at this date should only be for people that happen to be unaware of registration times. It will also create a tremendous burden on us if numbers change dramatically in any league.
