Opening Day Schedule

Opening Day/Picture Schedule Spring 2011

Opening Day festivities will be held at Thunderbolt Elementary School on Saturday, March 5th from 11:00am-12:30pm. The schedule for the day is as follows:

11:00-12:00 Lunch

Domino’s pizza for everyone! Drinks/chips/candy will be sold for $1 each.

12:00-12:30 Opening Day Ceremony

Volunteers are needed for Opening Day.  Please contact Debbie Collins at dcollinsirish at gmail.com if you are interested in helping out!

Chevy Youth Baseball and Gordon Chevrolet

Gordon Chevy has once again selected Fleming Island Little League to participate in the Chevy Youth Baseball program.  This means equipment, a $500 donation,  on field clinics with Suns, and raffle tickets worth $10,000 if we sell them all and more.

A big Thank you to our Hall of Fame Sponsor Gordon Chevy.

We will be selling raffle tickets at Opening Day.  Anyone who buys one will get a T Shirt as long as they last.

Hibernia Baptist has offered use of Batting Cages

Hibernia Baptist has generously offered us the use of some sonn to be complated batting cages.  We are very excited about this offer, and we are looking at buying a pitching machine for all of us to share.

I will let you know when they are ready.  Hibernai only asks that you call to schedule them.  We will work with them on scheduling.  Big thanks to Pastor Scott too.

New Grace Church and new TBALL and MP Field

We have been working with New Grace Church on using some land as a TBall and Machine Pitch field and they have generously agreed to allow us to fix up a small piece of property.  We are looking to have it ready for Opening Day.

We are adding a backstop, benches, and outfield fence and garbage cans to the area.  It is close enough to the Thunderbolt Park and the bathrooms too.

It will be a great looking field and we are very appreciative to New Grace.

FILL Stores

I created 2 stores from a company called MyLocker.Net.  They basically make it fairly easy to set up a store with your logos, and then provide a small percentage of any sales back to the league.  So feel free to browse some of their items.  We will have some coupons for $10 off at Opening day.  The stores are found at the bottom on the home page.

Players Championship Fundraiser - $25 will be donated for each $40 ticket

The PGA is offering a fundraiser for most youth sports leagues, including FILL. For everyone that buys a ticket for The Players and uses our code below, we will get $25 of of the $40 ticket. The ticket is good-any-one-day ticket sold will be donated back to us!
